한국과학철학회의 제7회(2026년 2차) 대학원생 및 신진 연구자를 위한 온라인 워크숍에 여러분을 초대합니다.

과학철학에는 다양한 세부 주제와 방법론이 있지요. 이번 워크숍에는 <과학철학의 다양한 방법론과 논문출판>을 주제로 KAIST 과학기술정책대학원의 그랜트 피셔 교수님과 뮌헨대학교 뮌헨수리철학센터의 왕민경 박사님을 연사로 모셨습니다. 두 연사분께서 각각 실천적 과학철학과 수리철학 분야의 연구와 논문출판에 대해 이야기를 들려주실 예정입니다.

□ 연사 프로필

그랜트 피셔 (KAIST 과학기술정책대학원)

영국 UCL에서 과학사 및 과학철학을 공부하고 리즈대학교에서 박사 학위를 취득하였다. UCL STS 학과 포닥 연구원 등을 거친 후 현재 KAIST 과학기술정책대학원에서 부교수로 재직하고 있다. 실천적 과학철학(philosophy of science in practice, PSP) 분야 연구를 수행하고 있다. Foundations of Chemistry 저널의 편집위원이다.

왕민경 (뮌헨대학교 뮌헨수리철학센터)

KAIST에서 물리학을, 베를린 훔볼트 대학교에서 철학을 공부한 후 뮌헨대학교에서 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 보훔대학교 포닥 연구원 등을 거쳐 현재 뮌헨대학교 뮌헨수리철학센터에 재직 중이다. 형식인식론 등 수리철학 분야 연구를 수행하고 있으며, PhilPapers 사이트 Formal Social Epistemology 카테고리 등의 편집을 맡고 있다.

The 7th Online Workshop (2nd in 2026) for Graduate Students and Early-Career Researchers

The Korean Society for the Philosophy of Science is pleased to invite you to its 7th Online Workshop (2nd in 2026) for graduate students and early-career researchers.

Philosophy of science encompasses a wide range of specialized topics and methodologies. This workshop, titled “Diverse Methods in the Philosophy of Science and Academic Publishing” will feature Professor Grant Fisher of the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at KAIST and Dr. Minkyung Wang of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich). They will discuss research and academic publishing in the fields of philosophy of science in practice and mathematical philosophy, respectively.

□ Speaker Profiles

Grant Fisher (Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy, KAIST)

Prof. Grant Fisher studied History and Philosophy of Science at University College London (UCL) and received his PhD from the University of Leeds. After working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at UCL, among other positions, he is currently an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at KAIST. His research focuses on philosophy of science in practice (PSP). He serves on the editorial board of Foundations of Chemistry.

Minkyung Wang (Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy, LMU Munich)

Dr. Minkyung Wang studied physics at KAIST and philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin, and received her PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at Ruhr University Bochum, among other positions, she is currently affiliated with the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy at LMU Munich. Her research focuses on mathematical philosophy, in particular formal epistemology. She serves as an editor for categories including Formal Social Epistemology on PhilPapers.
